Our Story

The Story Behind Honey Heart

Honey Heart actually started long before car seats.

The name was inspired by my grandma, whose love of anything and everything with bees on it has stayed with me. The honey was for her. The heart was for the way I wanted to approach my work — putting my whole heart into everything I did.

Years ago, I brought that name to life with Honey Heart Cookie Co. in Gilbert, creating custom cookies and teaching classes. It grew into something I was incredibly proud of before I eventually closed that chapter and returned to the corporate world. But I wasn’t quite done building something of my own.

While continuing to work full-time, I started feeling that familiar pull to create and build a business again.

I once joked that maybe I should just use Honey Heart for all of my future businesses.

Apparently, I wasn’t kidding.

So… why car seats?

Because I’m a mom, too.

As a working mom of two, I know how quickly the little things pile up. Car seats are used every day and collect all the crumbs, spills, sunscreen, snacks, and beautiful chaos that comes with kids — but cleaning them is one of those jobs that somehow always gets pushed to the bottom of the list. And honestly? I’ve been the mom who would happily pay someone else to take that job off my plate.

That’s where Honey Heart Seat Spa was born.

I wanted to create a service that makes one small part of parenting a little easier — giving families back a clean, fresh car seat without adding another chore to an already endless to-do list.

The heart is still the same. The work just looks a little different now.

Book a Cleaning

We pick up your seat in the evening between 6:15 and 7:15 pm and return it by 8:00 am the next morning, so it’s back in your car before the morning routine.
When you book, choose a 15-minute pickup window between 6:15 and 7:15 pm. At your selected time, just set your car seat outside and we’ll pick it up. Pickup and delivery are always free.
Only mild, unscented, baby-safe products: Molly’s Suds Laundry Detergent, Branch Basics Stain Remover, and Dr. Bronner’s Baby Unscented Pure-Castile Liquid Soap.
Always. We review your car seat’s manual before every cleaning and follow the manufacturer’s care guidelines specific to your seat.
Right now we clean infant, convertible, and integrated car seats (like the Doona and Evenflo Shyft), with or without the base.
Every seat gets a thorough inspection before cleaning. If we find that it’s expired, has been recalled, or has any damage, we won’t clean it. We’ll return it to you the following morning untouched.
We serve homes within 5 miles of our home base in Gilbert, AZ (85233), including parts of Gilbert and Chandler. Not sure if you’re in range? Email us at honeyheartseatspa@gmail.com.
Payment is taken [when you book online / at pickup] through [card / Venmo / etc.].
Plans change, we get it! You can cancel or reschedule for free up to [24 hours] before your pickup window using the link in your confirmation email.
Please remove toys, mirrors, and anything else that isn’t part of the seat. Leave the cover and harness on, since we take care of those. If you booked a seat with its base, set the base out with it.
[Yes, every seat is fully dry before it comes back. / Most fabric is fully dry by 8:00 am; if anything needs more time, we’ll let you know before delivery.]
If we find your seat is expired, recalled, or damaged, we won’t clean it, and [you won’t be charged / we’ll refund your payment in full].
Pickup is in the evening, after the hottest part of the day. If you’d rather not leave it out, just let us know and we can [pick it up from your door / text you when we arrive].
